Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT “Turca” 2023

This Turca vineyard has been handed down for generations within the Gozzer family. Today, Tania not only acts as oenologist at Cantina Fagarini, but is also the careful custodian of this plot of land of which few details are known: the verbal memory passed on by her great-grandfather traces its origins back a long way. Considering how difficult it is to find information on the exact origin of this variety, it is interesting to note that Tania even based her degree thesis in oenology on this subject, it is assumed that the variety was brought to Valsugana by traders from Veneto.

At present, Tania is the only producer of Turca in Trentino and, thanks to her important preservation work, new vines of this variety will be planted during 2024 to increase production, currently limited to only 300 bottles per year!
