Pavana is the emblematic wine of Valsugana . Present everywhere , at various altitudes and exposures, from Forte di Civezzano to Scalette di Primolano, it was, until the 1950s, the most produced red grape in the area.

The name of this vine could derive from a distortion of the term "Padovana", in fact it is hypothesized that it arrived in Valsugana from the nearby Veneto.

Today Francesco Poli cultivates this variety in the vineyards near Lake Santa Messere, in the Valle dei Laghi, carrying out important work to enhance the native varieties of Trentino .

Note di degustazione

Ruby red in color. The nose is fruity with hints of berries and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is balanced, savory, with an almond finish and a marked acidity.

    To be tried in combination with a simple but excellent platter of cheeses, such as Grana Trentino Dop, accompanied by a selection of local cold cuts and sausages.

    Or with white meats and sweet cheeses.
