For about ten years Alois Lageder has been cultivating Lagrein on the detrital alluvial fan of Magrè, an area little known for this vine. The calcareous dolomite that prevails in these soils is an important prerequisite for the round and fruity character of this wine. The Latin name “Conus” refers precisely to the debris fan and its slopes on which these vineyards stand.

Tasting notes

Cherry red with ruby ​​reflections. Intense and fruity aroma of plum, notes of liquorice and cocoa, spicy and floral. On the palate it is full-bodied, vigorous, linear and rich in tannins.

Production method

Spontaneous maceration, malolactic fermentation in steel, aging of the wine partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels.
