Vallagarina Rosso IGP “Agnese” 2021
Vallagarina Rosso IGP “Agnese” 2021
This wine represents a tribute from a grandson to his grandmother, Agnese. Born in 1924, she ran the company for over 50 years, raising her 4 children alone. For her, the vineyard was everything. The family tradition, which has persisted for more than 270 years, continues to live on thanks to her commitment, reaching the present day for Vignali Varàs and Giovanni.
The skilled artisanal transformation of the most representative varieties of the area, Marzemino, Casetta and Enantio, is the goal of this young winemaker. From these grapes, unfiltered mountain wines are born, which pay homage to past generations and the cycle of nature, best preserving the expressive potential of the varieties used.

Metodo di produzione
After manual destemming, the skins are macerated in amphora and cement for 55-65 days. The fermentation of the grapes occurs spontaneously, without the use of sulphites during winemaking.
The 18-month refinement takes place in a specific way: the Marzemino in cement barrels, the Enantio in amphora and Slavonian oak barrels, and the Casetta in amphora and French oak barrels. After about a year and a half, the wine is bottled without being filtered to faithfully restore the flavors of the territory.
