TRENTODOC Nature Riserva “Rhodium” 2017 - Salizzoni

TRENTODOC Nature Riserva “Rhodium” 2017 - Salizzoni

Inspired by the rare and precious mineral often linked to platinum, this Trentodoc classic method sparkling wine is a real jewel born from the idea of Valter and Luca Salizzoni, father and son, who chose to realize this project in a significant place in wine panorama of Trentino-Alto Adige.

The bottles are aged in the same containers in which Arminio Valentini released one of the first bottles produced with the champenoise method in 1899. Since then a lot of progress has been made, and today Rhodium is one of the most significant representatives of the panorama of mountain bubbles from Trentino.

Production method

After the manual harvest of the grapes, a soft pressing is carried out, the fermentation of the musts for 12 days in steel and for a part in wood carried out at low temperatures allows to obtain a great fragrance of varietal aromas. After the secondary fermentation in late spring, the bottles begin their long journey on the yeasts for 60 months. It is precisely this long stay in the bottle that gives complexity to the sparkling wine, a fine and persistent perlage, and a broad and refined bouquet.
