Way back in 1150, the municipality of Mezzocorona, at the time a village, was known as Methius Coronae, from which the current name Mezzocorona originates. From this ancient tradition with Celtic and Latin roots, but above all from the friendship between two winemakers, Carlo Dorigati and Enrico Paternoster, the prestigious Methius TRENTODOC was born in 1986. This sparkling wine, produced exclusively in the reserve version, not only highlights its unique character, but also underlines the high quality and strong connection with the territory.
Imagine yourself in the mountains of Trentino, in the municipality of Mezzocorona, inside an underground cellar with its typical "barrel vaults" dating back to the early 1900s. This is where the Methius bottles rest for 60 months, maintaining a constant temperature and humidity throughout the year. This environment, steeped in history and tradition, gives our Methius an exceptional complexity and distinctive character, making it an authentic expression of the territory and its rich wine heritage. Note di degustazione
Intense yellow with golden reflections, very fine and persistent perlage. Intense floral aroma of magnolia and mimosa, fruity with citrus and pineapple, slightly spicy, aroma of vanilla, hazelnut and custard. On the palate it is elegant and tasty, with marked freshness and minerality.

Metodo di produzione
White vinification with barrique fermentation of part of the Chardonnay. Preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest. Bottling and slow second fermentation at a temperature of 11°C. In the bottle it matures for about five years, with periodic suspension of the yeasts. We then proceed to the riddling phase on the pupitres. At the end of this cycle, disgorgement is carried out with the addition of liqueur d'expedition. The sparkling wine thus obtained matures for a further 6/8 months before being marketed.
