Tasting notes

The 2023 Lagrein presents itself with an intense ruby red color, with purple reflections. On the nose, it releases an enveloping bouquet of berries, plum and ripe cherry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and a hint of cocoa. On the palate it is soft and full, with velvety tannins and a perfect balance between acidity and structure. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of ripe fruit and a pleasant mineral touch.

Pairings

Trentino DOC Lagrein is the ideal companion for rich and tasty dishes. It pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, such as steaks or chops, and with game dishes, such as braised venison or wild boar. Excellent with mature cheeses, such as Trentingrana, or with structured first courses, such as pappardelle with hare ragù. For a surprising combination, try it with a plate of polenta and mushrooms.

Production method

The Lagrein grapes are harvested manually in the vineyards of Piana Rotaliana, selecting only the best bunches. After a delicate destemming and pressing, the fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, to preserve the fruity aromas.
