This is a story that has its roots back in 1142, when the Novacella Abbey, in German Kloster Neustift, was founded. Fires and peasant revolts have (almost) never stopped the spiritual, social and above all agricultural and wine-growing activities of this centre.

The vineyards of South Tyrol from which this Sylvaner is born are located in the Bressanone and Cornaiano basin, between 650 and 750 m above sea level. This position allows the grapes to evolve into an elegant and substantial wine thanks also to the contribution of low temperatures and soils with moraine, paragneiss and quartzite deposits.

Note di degustazione

Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections. The nose is fruity with hints of melon, apples and ripe pears. On the palate it is powerful, mineral and with a fairly fatty finish.

    Try it in combination with a plate of Schlutzkrapfen, spinach-filled crescents typical of Alto Adige.

  • Metodo di produzione

    Most of the must ferments and matures for about 6 months in stainless steel, while a small part in acacia barrels.
